The first edition of “PRAHARI” magazine brought out by PFC Vigilance Unit was released/unveiled on 01st March 2023 by CMD, PFC along with CVO and Functional Directors. The five best compositions published in the magazine were also awarded by the CMD.
As a step towards Participative Vigilance, the Vigilance Unit has brought out the above magazine to highlight the participation of all stake holders in bringing across various facets of vigilance and spreading awareness for growth and development of the Corporation and nation as a whole.
The magazine is a compilation of various compositions comprising articles, quizzes, poems, quotes, flow charts, slogans, paintings, caricatures contributed by employees and their family members, relating to various aspects of vigilance as well as power and renewables sector. It also provides a glimpse of Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) 2022 observed at PFC and highlights significant initiatives and activities undertaken by Vigilance Unit.
Employees gathered at the PFC Conference hall on the first day of Vigilance Awareness Week where the Integrity Pledge was taken by officials of PFC as per CVC guidelines. The pledge was administered by Smt. Simmi R. Nakra, CVO, PFC. Shri Rajiv Ranjan Jha, Director (Projects) and Shri Manoj Sharma, Director (Commercial) were also present on the occasion.
During the week-long celebrations, the Vigilance Unit organized various competitions/events for employees such as Slogan writing, Poem Writing and Pictorial Presentation competition. Also, as part of sequence of events being held during VAW-2022, a Workshop on Conduct, Discipline and Appeal Rules was organized for employees of PFC and PFCCL. The faculty for the workshop was Shri Amal Kumar from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited. Smt. Simmi R. Nakra, CVO, PFC presided over the event. The Regional Offices of PFC and its subsidiary PFCCL also observed Vigilance Awareness Week. PFCCL also organized a talk on the topic of “Preventive Vigilance” for its employees.
A talk session on the topic “Advisory Board for Banking and Financial Frauds (ABBFF) and role of Internal Advisory Committee (IAC)” was given by Shri Vijay Kumar Tyagi, CVO, PNB during Vigilance Awareness week.
Valedictory Ceremony of Vigilance Awareness Week-2022 was organized on 4th November, 2022. Sh. R.S. Dhillon (CMD), Smt. Parminder Chopra, Director (Finance), Shri R.R. Jha, Director (Projects), Shri Manoj Sharma, Director (Commercial) and all the senior officials of PFC were present during the occasion. The winners of various competitions organized during Vigilance Awareness Week- 2022 were felicitated.
PFC Vigilance Unit in association with Punjab National Bank (PNB), Staff Training Centre, New Delhi organised one day workshop on the topic of “Fraud Monitoring & Recovery Aspects of Loan Assets’ on 20-Sep-2022. The workshop was held in five sessions,conducted by highly experienced faculties of Staff Training College, PNB. The topics covered during the workshop were i) Fraud Monitoring ii) Recovery Aspects and iii) Action under insolvency & Bankruptcy Code 2016.
PFC Vigilance Unit organized a workshop on the topic of “Annual Property Returns” in PFC Conference Hall. Shri Praveen Prakash Ambashta, Dy. Director, Ministry of Defence was the faculty for the workshop. During the workshop, the faculty explained various provisions of PFC CDA Rules and DPE guidelines related to filing of Property Returns. The workshop was interactive and various cases were also discussed. Around 40 employees participated in the workshop. CVO, PFC Smt. Simmi R. Nakra and Shri G Jawahar, ED (HR) also addressed the participants on the importance of timely fling the Property Returns on this occasion.
Central Vigilance Commission has invited various compilation from different organization on initiatives and best practices taken by them and a Magazine - ‘Preventive Vigilance Initiatives’ containing the compilations has been published during Vigilance Awareness Week- 2022.
The Central Vigilance Commission published its Newsletter “Vigeye Vani” with a special focus on the Power Sector. A committee of CVOs of Power Sector was constituted by CVC for finalising the articles pertaining to Power Sector. The Committee invited write ups/ articles related to the Power Sector from all the Power Sector undertakings/departments. The employees of PFC actively participated and submitted articles on issues related to Power Sector.
